Presisjonskomiteen
Who is the leader, deputy leader and contact?
Theodor Aurlund
Prosesjonskomitéen is the very heart of BTS’s history and represents a proud tradition that stretches back to the organization’s beginnings. It all started with students from Bergen Technical School who wanted to make their mark on the May 17th celebration, and since then the committee has brought life and excitement to the main procession (which is a fancy way of saying May 17th train) year after year.
As a member of the procession committee, you will be part of creating magic in the streets of Bergen on National Day. The committee is looking for people who want to help design and build this year's floats - a project that brings students together in the weeks before the big day. Here you will have the opportunity to be part of the entire process, from the first ideas taking shape until the float rolls through the city streets to the cheers of the audience.
Prosesjonskomitéen has a special position in the city's May 17th celebration, usually with a permanent place in Bergen's May 17th Committee. Through close cooperation with other organizations at the college and practical planning of everything from materials to construction site, the committee creates new, innovative contributions to the national day celebration every year.
To join, simply send a message on Instagram or register your interest via our website. This is your chance to help continue one of BTS' most traditional and visible activities, while also helping to create new memories and experiences for both participants and the audience!
